Samuel Eto'o claims wanted dead !

Samuel Eto’o has accused Cameroonian football officials of wanting him dead.
The former Barcelona and Real Madrid star made the astonishing claim in an online interview in his homeland, during which he also revealed that he requires the attention of ‘gendarmes’, or military police.
The Cameroon captain, who has been named African player of the year four times, has been at loggerheads with his country’s association for some time, though these latest allegations have taken the fall out to a whole new level.

According to reports, Eto’o was speaking to magazine Je Wanda when he said: ‘The leaders of the FCF want to attack my life, they want to kill me.
‘I live with a group of gendarmes and one sleeping in front of my door. I do this not out of snobbery, but for my own safety.’
Eto’o, who now plays his club football with mega-rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, accused chiefs of being ‘incompetant and corrupt’ while also claiming that he receives his shirt to play in directly from supplier Puma, rather than the football association.

He added: ‘[The federation] have swindled our money long enough. Instead of managing football for the general interest, they are only concerned with fictitious missions, first class travels and untraceable bank accounts in Europe.’
Last week, Eto’o and 10 other players refused to turn out for Indomitable Lions for a friendly in Tanzania, citing injury. They had failed to qualify for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Cameroon FA are yet to comment on the claims this morning, though last week a senior official accused the striker of attempting to destabilise football in the country.
